"Finally, brothers whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is admirable. If anything is excellent or praise worthy. Think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."(NIV) Philippians 4: 8
Isn’t it amazing to have a family that cares so much? What about a family that has already established footprints for its young ones to follow? Brothers and sisters in the Lord that is the family we are privileged to belong to. We have a wonderful and caring Father who is interested in every aspects of our life. He has set himself as an example and encourages us to learn from Him.
We learnt from scripture that God’s anger is but for a moment. That is to say he does get angry at us but it doesn’t last for long. It is rather His mercies that last forever. If we have such a loving member in our families, why won’t we desire to be like Him?
It is evident that we hurt when people anger us. Our souls do not have rest because we ponder over the situation over and over again. It is only when we forgive that we begin to find some inner peace. Now the problem is how to let go off the ANGER. Today, God is assuring us that his way is the best and urges us to follow in order to be able to overcome challenging situations like anger modes (Proverbs 16: 25). He desires us to tune our minds from the devil’s weapon (ANGER) to anything is admirable, excellent or praise worthy of the situation we find ourselves in.
People will surely get on our nerves but when we tune our minds to think about God’s word and reconsider the brighter and positive side of the situation, we will smile after a day or two for the right way we chose and give praise and honour to God. Remember all that is EXCELLENT OR PRAISE WORTHY- THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS.
