Love is Not Ashamed
"For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren." (NKJV) Hebrews 2:11
A young boy once stood in front of his classmates, nervously clutching a crumpled letter. It was from his father, a man in prison. As laughter filled the room, the boy’s teacher knelt beside him and said, “Your father still loves you, and love is never ashamed.”
God’s love for humanity is the same, and even more. Despite our failures, He is not ashamed to call us His own. Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus embraced the cross, enduring shame, because His love outweighs our sins (Hebrews 12:2).
Peter, after denying Jesus, must have felt unworthy, yet Christ restored him (John 21:15-17). This proves that God’s love is not based on perfection but on grace. Isaiah 49:16 reminds us, “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.”
No matter our past, God’s love remains steadfast. He is never ashamed of those who turn to Him. Will you accept His love today?
