He is with you

"Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established" (NKJV) Proverbs 16:3

The year is still young and I believe many of us have made countless resolutions. The resolutions could be tangible (building a house, buying a car, marriage, schooling) or intangible (an improvement or a behaviour change). Whatever your resolutions may be, how do you intend to achieve your plans by the end of the year? A popular Scottish proverb goes, “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”-this implies that we just can’t daydream, but we need to act on them for our plans to work because nothing can be earned on a silver platter.

The Bible admonishes us to commit our ways to the Lord, trust in Him, and He shall bring them to pass (Psalm 37:5). In planning, there is a need to first and foremost tell and commit the plans to God and then secondly, learn the ways of the ant (Proverbs 6:6)- the great planner. Although the ant is small in size, it is diligent and hardworking, it has a “can do” attitude and we must emulate its excellent strategic planning attributes.

Many of us are unable to accomplish our dreams because of the fear of the unknown (the what-ifs and the maybes). To overcome this, we need to constantly remember that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind (II Tim 1:7). As unique as you are and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14a), just believe and trust God in your capabilities and your dream will be accomplished.

If all seem not to work, Pause, Relax and Pray for God’s wisdom, guidance and direction in planning and he will answer your request (James1:5). Don’t ever give up, lift your head high, God’s got your back, never lose hope. He is with you (Isaiah 41:10).

Be encouraged!! Be inspired!!!
