We Overcame

“22 They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 23 Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get. 25 It was nine in the morning when they crucified him. 26 The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the jews.” (NIV) Mark 15:22-26.

“6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him..” (NIV) Mark 16:6.

On Golgotha that fateful day, Christ was going to be crucified for our sins. Whilst he was tortured and made fun of, he still held his end of the bargain. As excruciating that pain and the shame was it was finished on that cross! He died for our sins as the book of Mark recounts; Mark 15:22-26, 22.And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. 23Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it. 24And when they crucified Him, they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take. 25Now it was the third hour, and they crucified Him. 26And the inscription of His accusation was written above: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

You could just imagine how Satan rejoiced on his crucifixion! Gods’ son is finally dead, and humankind is doomed forever!

However, on that miraculous Sunday, He rose again in all glory as his resurrection was a great victory! We became victorious and overcomers because HE OVERCAME death itself! Mark 16:6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen!

So, live like an overcomer, drop the fears and doubts and pick up faith because all tribulations came to an end at Golgotha. We must literally live that perfect life fought for us on Golgotha because every tribulation that comes now has been overcome! We need to stay strong till he comes again as the enemy will make it seem that these are persisting tribulations, but always remember the victory on Golgotha.

Tell that mountain, we overcame!

Tell that sickness, we already won!

Tell that problem, you came too late!

We declare that we are children of God, and we overcame! Glory to God.
