We celebrate you, fathers!
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.” (NIV) Psalm 103:13
Today, we celebrate fathers across the world and the Daily Inspirer Team wishes to celebrate every father, especially Christian fathers. People have tried to find the reason why there are so many celebrations on Mother’s Day than Father’s Day. The day sometimes passes so quietly many people do not even remember it is Father’s Day. The reason that was given for children celebrating their mothers more than their fathers was that children tend to love someone who is emotionally present to listen and attend to their needs. Are fathers doing this? Yes! Christian fathers are doing that!
The Christian father is the leader of the home. He protects, provides, and ensures that God is the center of the home. Some Christian fathers are not our biological fathers, but they saw a need for us to have a fatherly figure in our lives and willingly filled the gap. And there are the biological Christian fathers. For all of us who are/were blessed to have Christian fathers, we would acknowledge that our belief in God today was because our fathers helped us be the Christians we are today.
The Christian father is compared to God. He exhibits God’s traits. He is always available when the family needs him emotionally and physically. He rebukes when he has to and straightens our paths when we go wrong. He directs our path in times when we do not know which path to take. He is that strong man but compassionate. In moments of despair, he provides hope to his family. The Christian father is that super dad because he sees God as his father and emulates him.
For all who are super fathers, we wish you a happy Father’s Day. May God bless you and give you long life and good health to continue being the super fathers. And for those who look forward to being super fathers, be a Christian father and all will fall into place. Happy Father’s Day to you all.
